Tongala Child Care, formally known as The Cottage Occasional Childcare Centre has been operational since 1977.
The organisation is a not-for-profit community and neighbourhood house that addresses the needs of Tongala and its surrounding districts. They provide social support, education, childcare, and ongoing community development.
