Greenham Tasmania Pty Ltd was established in 2002 as an associated company of HW Greenham & Sons Pty Ltd when the parent company bought the failed Blue Ribbon Meat Works in Smithton, in North Western Tasmania and refurbished the processing plant to international export standards.
Today the plant employs more than 120 staff and supplies quality table beef to Japan as well as to the United States.
Greenham Tasmania Pty Ltd has recently started selling its prime beef into the Australian market. The company processes more than 10,000 tonnes of beef annually and has a supplier catchment of some 3,000 properties extending across Tasmania, including King Island.
