Greenham GOTAFE Dairy Scholarship

The Greenham Dairy Scholarship was established by HW Greenham & Sons Pty Ltd in 2000 to encourage young people to make a commitment to the improvement of the dairy industry through education.

The 2017 Scholarship saw the name changed to incorporate our new academic partner - GOTAFE | National Centre for Dairy Education as co-marketers of the award across dairy producing regions of Victoria and Southern NSW.

Executive chairman, Peter Greenham, said that partnership reflects the company’s long-standing commitment to education, innovation and the Australian dairy industry.

“The farmers have obviously had it tough recently but it’s important that younger people see a future for the industry. We have built our business on servicing the dairy sector and we want to see it prosper to help build strong regional communities and local economies,”

Peter Greenham

It is open each year to people aged 17 to 45 years to undertake formal study relating to the dairy industry. Immediate family members and employees of anyone who has sold cattle to the Tongala-based meat processing plant of HW Greenham & Sons Pty Ltd, during the previous 12 months are able to apply for the grant. Since the award’s inception, HW Greenham & Sons has contributed over $150,000 towards further educating scholarship winners – our future leaders of industry.
