Rural women scholarship - Burnie Advocate

In a show of support, appreciation and recognition for women on the land, the Minister for Primary Industries and Water, Bryan Green announced Ashley Hobbins, of Burnie, the Greenham Tasmania scholarship winner as part of the 2011 award for Rural Women.

Ms Hobbins has extensive agricultural experience and awards to her name including industry placements, working on beef properties and representing her fellow agricultural students at industry talks in Canberra.

She has also started university. Ms Hobbins won $10,000 toward undertaking formal study relating to dairy or beef industries.
